WATCH: Zimbabwean man drowns in small pond while countrymen laugh, film videos

Pietermaritzburg – A 28 year old Zimbabwean man tragically drowned in a small pond in KwaZulu Natal province some 4 days ago. Some of his friends and countrymen filmed the event, while rolling in laughter.

The man, identified only as Callisto is initially seen battling to swim towards dry land, but looks in visible distress as he flaps around without moving.

His friends appear to have noticed their mate is in danger, and one of the friends, who cannot swim attempts to convince those that can to jump in and save him.

The man eventually begins to sink, before going under completely.

Only then does one friend attempt to initiate a rescue, but abandons it when it becomes clear that he cannot save the man.

The deceased’s body was transported to Zimbabwe yesterday, and he will be buried on arrival today.
