Former Zanu PF Youth League Chairperson Kudzai Chipanga’s application for bail relaxation was denied by Harare Magistrate Mrs Rumbidzai Mugwagwa and is set to appear at High Court this week his Defense Attorney told Khuluma Afrika.
The Magistrate dismissed the application saying she had no jurisdiction over the matter because the High Court gave him bail and that he has to approach the High court with the application.
His Defense Attorney said he is applying at the High Court and the matter is supposed to appear this week.
“I am just waiting for a record from the Magistrate and then proceed to High Court as soon as I get it”
Last week, Prof Madhuku who is representing him together with former Cabinet Minister Ignatius Chombo told the court that his client deserved bail relaxation as he had been obedient to his bail conditions.
He also told the court that Chipanga was not having quality time with his family and have businesses that needed his attention including a tobacco crop at his farm in Mutare.
“Your Worship my client has not been able to provide for his family and also has things that need his attention including his tobacco crop at his farm in Manicaland” echoed Prof Madhuku.
