Fearless leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Julius Malema sat for lunch together with the Good News Church’s Senior Prophet Uebert Angel in Pretoria a week ago.
It is not clear what the purpose of the lunch meeting at an unnamed venue in South Africa was, but rumour has it that the lunch was had at the home of Julius Malema who, the controversial Prophet called “… a very close freedom fighter”
What was clear from the pictures posted on the United Kingdom based Prophet’s Instagram page about a week ago was the amicable relations between the two giants.
The Zimbabean born Prophet is no stranger to politics and politicians. He once accurately prophecied the death of the Former British Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher among other Major world Prophecies.
The cleric, widely known as one of the pioneers in the prophetic movement came to South Africa to “pray and share the word of the season with a few of our top partners in the Southern Region with Major 1,” as he put it.
Peophets or men of God are known to have had interactions with political leaders dating back to the times of the Bible and this trend continues as members of the government are occasionally reportedly hosted at churches even outside of elections season.
“There is a need for politicians to build strong relations with men of God, especially Prophets,” said Pastor Chris, one of the departmental leaders of the Levite tribe at ECG.
He added that modern day Prophets are fully equipped, not only Spiritually, but with knowledge of modern Education as well.
“The modern day Prophet is educated, enabling him to understand issues affecting communities as a literate voice as well as a Spiritual being.”
Julius Malema, who is currently heading arguably the most influential Political Party in Southern Africa, particularly South Africa is a force that is dangerous to the ignore. His friendship with Uebert Angel was described by one of his lieftenant as, “Malema’s spiritual stepping stone to the Presidency of South Africa.”
